Qualcomm today announced the Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform, an upgraded replacement for last year's 768G, and close sibling to the 780G. Compared to the 768G, the 778G offers 2x AI performance, 40% better CPU, and 40% faster GPU (graphics) performance. It also includes Qualcomm's triple ISP technology that can process up to 2 gigapixels from multiple cameras simultaneously. As the model number implies, the 778G is quite similar to the Snapdragon 780G that was announced just two months ago.
