Nothing Teases its First Phone

Nothing has revealed the name and launch date for its first Android phone. The Nothing phone(1) will launch this summer. It will run a flavor of Android that the company calls Nothing OS. The company released a glimpse of the software (shown), and describes it as "distilling the operating system to just the essentials". It will have "bespoke fonts, colours, graphical elements and sounds. A first preview of Nothing OS will be available via its launcher that will be available to download on select smartphone models from April." Few other details of the phone were released; the design has yet to be shown. The company previously said the phone will be based on a Snapdragon "8 series" chip from Qualcomm. Nothing is a British company founded by Carl Pei, who previously co-founded OnePlus.
